Chembitta Palli
Chembitta Palli is one of the oldest mosques in Kerala, and it was built between 1520 and 1540 CE. The name “Chembitta Palli” is derived from the Malayalam word “chemp” (means copper) and “palli” (means mosque). The roof of this mosque was decorated with copper tiles, hence the name. This mosque is situated in Kochangadi.
