The same was convened to announce the introduction online certification from 8th January 2017. Ente pusthakam, Ente Kurippu, Ente Ezhuthupetti Panayapalli Govt: High School2017-01-10Maulana Azad Socio Cultural Centre library initiated the launch of “Ente pusthakam, Ente Kurippu, Ente Ezhuthupetti” at the Panayapalli Govt: High School on 10th January 2017. Meeting at CollectorateCIAL trade fair and exhibition centre2017-01-10Assistant Secretary Mr. Tino John Cruz attended the meeting organized at the Collectorate on 10th January 2017. The meeting was convened to discuss about providing support to the “Digidhanmela” which was scheduled on 12th January 2017 at CIAL trade fair and exhibition centre. The concept was to provide an insight into the digital concepts of going cashless.
BRIDGEHotel, Avenue Centre, Panampilly Nagar2017-01-13FICCI in association with Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) organized a session by the name “ Bridge” on 13th January 2017 at the Center Hotel, Avenue Centre, Panampilly Nagar. Music CompetitionChullikal Park, Kochi2017-01-14The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with Adithya Residence Association and Matha Music School organized a Singing Competition at the Chullikal Park on 14th January 2017. Around 40 contestants participated in the competition between the age group of 5 and 25. Certificates were issued to the participants and winners at the closing ceremony headed by Shri. Rajesh Agarwal, Vice-President ICCI.
Karnatic Musicians Shri. N P Ramaswami, Shri. Vijayarajan Master and the Musicians of the movie “oppam” were honored on the occasion. MLA Mr. K J Maxi was also present on the occasion.

Awareness camp at EPFOEPFO, Kaloor2017-02-17ICCI Secretary and Assistant Secretary attended the awareness camp organized by EPFO Kaloor on 17th February 2017. The camp was aimed at informing the employers about the new concession from the Central Government where an employer can intimate the PF office about its employees who have not been registered in Provident fund for the past years (from April 2009 till December 2016) by only paying the employer’s share. The concession is only valid till March 31st.
Joint ConferenceCochin Port Conference Hall2017-02-18Tariff Authority for Major Ports organized a joint conference at the Cochin Port Conference Hall on 18th January 2017. The Conference was aimed to discuss on the case filed by the CSAA and CCHAA against the change in handling charges at Cochin Port. e-Certification Training Session Indian Chamber Hall, Cochin2017-01-08The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, organized a training session for the exporters and CHA’s to educate them on how to use the ICCI Connect website (www.icciconnect.in). The development team from Acelr Tech Labs, who has designed the software for us, walked the gathering through the work flow of the website. Kochi Public Transport DayKochi Metro Office2018-04-19A meeting with all the stakes holders of Kochi City was convened at the KMRL conference hall on 19th April 2018. The meeting was organised by the Centre for Public Policy Research. The idea is to create awareness amongst the public about the pollution levels inside the city and to encourage everyone to use public transport. Every month form now on will have one day scheduled for Public Transport Day where every one in the City will be requested to use public transport. The suggestions to improve the quality of Public Transport will also be communicated to the authorities simultaneously.

Interactive session with Deputy Commissioner Indian Chamber Auditorium 2018-04-26The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner of State GST, Mattancherry, Mr. Harindranath on 26th April 2018 at the Chamber Board room. The meeting was convened to discuss with the DC regarding the pending GST refund issues of the Chamber members. The DC promised that the processing of refund related documents will be seriously taken in to consideration and sorted in the coming weeks. Train the Trainer WorkshopHotel dunes2018-05-18The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with SRK Trainers organized a workshop for professional trainers. The workshop was aimed at training professional trainers to be Certified as Corporate Business Trainers. Around 24 professional trainers from all around the Country took part in the workshop. International Master Trainer Mr. Balachandran Gopinath lead the session for the Trainers. Mr. Balachandran opined that it is the first time in the history of India that a trade body in the capacity of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry is coming up with such an initiative. President Mr. Rajesh Agarwal inaugurated the session.
Vegetable Garden ContestIndian Chamber Auditorium 2018-05-19Goshree Harithamrith Cultural Society in association with the Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry organised a Vegetable Garden Contest at the Indian Chamber Hall, in an effort to promote toxic free vegetables during the Onam season. The contestants were all given 5 growbags of quality seeds for the competition. Mr. K J Maxi, MLA Inaugurated the function. President Mr. Rajesh Agarwal delivered the Keynote address. President informed the gathering that the Indian Chamber is re-launching the ever-rolling trophy for the best vegetable garden form this year onwards. Smt. Chellanam Calamity reliefIndian Chamber Auditorium 2018-07-18The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Cochin handed over bed sheets, towels and biscuits to the calamity camp at Chellanam LEO Public School. The heavy rains had made around 150 families in Chellanam area homeless. Around 600 people are now camped at the calamity centre, unsure about their future plans. The evacuated area is contaminated due to inefficient sewage and drainage set up, which increases the risk of contagious diseases. The health department will have to ensure hygiene pre-requisites before the people at the camp could go back to their homes. The continuous rainfall is delaying the process at present. Indian Chamber President Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, after handing over the supplies to the camp informed that the Chamber and its members will be in touch with the camp and will provide more support if need be.

K R Mehta Memorial Essay Writing CompetitionIndian Chamber Auditorium 2018-09-07The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry organised the Yearly K R Mehta Memorial Essay Writing competition for College students in Kochi on 7th September 2018. A total of 9 colleges participated in the essay writing competition.
This year's Topic was, "The man who uses yesterday's methods in today's world will not be in business tomorrow".
