Vegetable Garden Contest
Venue: Indian Chamber Auditorium

Goshree Harithamrith Cultural Society in association with the Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry organised a Vegetable Garden Contest at the Indian Chamber Hall, in an effort to promote toxic free vegetables during the Onam season. The contestants were all given 5 growbags of quality seeds for the competition. Mr. K J Maxi, MLA Inaugurated the function. President Mr. Rajesh Agarwal delivered the Keynote address. President informed the gathering that the Indian Chamber is re-launching the ever-rolling trophy for the best vegetable garden form this year onwards. Smt. Gracy Joseph, Cochin Corporation Standing Committee Chairperson for Development, Shri. Devdas S Kamath, President, Goshree Harithamrith Cultural Society and Shri. Siji Varghese, Deputy Director, Krishi Bhavan, Ernakulam were also present on the occasion.
 
Train the Trainer Workshop
Venue: Hotel dunes

The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with SRK Trainers organized a workshop for professional trainers. The workshop was aimed at training professional trainers to be Certified as Corporate Business Trainers. Around 24 professional trainers from all around the Country took part in the workshop. International Master Trainer Mr. Balachandran Gopinath lead the session for the Trainers. Mr. Balachandran opined that it is the first time in the history of India that a trade body in the capacity of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry is coming up with such an initiative. President Mr. Rajesh Agarwal inaugurated the session.
 
Interactive session with Deputy Commissioner

The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner of State GST, Mattancherry, Mr. Harindranath on 26th April 2018 at the Chamber Board room. The meeting was convened to discuss with the DC regarding the pending GST refund issues of the Chamber members. The DC promised that the processing of refund related documents will be seriously taken in to consideration and sorted in the coming weeks. President Mr. Rajesh Agarwal delivered the welcome address and Vice-President Mr. Madhusudan Gupta proposed the Vote of thanks.
 
Kochi Public Transport Day
Venue: Kochi Metro Office

A meeting with all the stakes holders of Kochi City was convened at the KMRL conference hall on 19th April 2018. The meeting was organised by the Centre for Public Policy Research. The idea is to create awareness amongst the public about the pollution levels inside the city and to encourage everyone to use public transport. Every month form now on will have one day scheduled for Public Transport Day where every one in the City will be requested to use public transport. The suggestions to improve the quality of Public Transport will also be communicated to the authorities simultaneously. Secretary Mr. Tino John Cruz attended the meeting.
 
DISHA Annual Day

Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s CBR project DISHA celebrated their annual day on 21st March 2018 at the Indian Chamber Auditorium. Disha Convener Mr. V Ramalingam was the Chief Guest. The DISHA students performed various art forms on the occasion. Prize distribution in connection to the DISHA Sports Day was also done during the session.
 
GST Update Session

Indian Chamber of Commerce in association with the Central Taxes, Central Excise and Customs department organized a session on GST refunds and e-way bill on 16th March 2018 at the Indian Chamber Auditorium. Mr. Antonio Nettikadan, Superintendent, Central Taxes, Central Excise and Customs, Ernakulam headed the session. Around 75 members attended the session.
 
Laughter Yoga Sesion
Venue: Indian Chamber Auditorium

The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with SRK Trainers organized a laughter yoga session at the Indian Chamber Auditorium on 22nd February 2018. The session was headed by Mr. Rajesh Panicker who is a certified yoga trainer. Around 45 people attended the session.
 
Vayana Kalari

Post Budget Analysis

The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with ICCI, World Trade Centre, Indian Institute of Management (Kozhikode), ASA Associates, Kerala Merchants Chamber of Commerce, Geogit Financial Services Ltd and Cochin Special Economic Zone Industries Association organized a post budget analysis on 06th February 2018 at Hotel Abad Plaza, Ernakulam. Dr. Abhilash S Nair, Chairperson, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Dr. V K Vijayakumar, Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services Ltd., Mr. K Nithyananda Kamath, FCA, Partner, ASA & Associates spoke in details regarding various aspects of the Budget. President Mr. Rajesh Agarwal also gave his views regarding the Union Budget of 2018 on the occasion.
 
Export Awareness Session

The Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Cochin in association with the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), arranged an Export Awareness session on Foreign Trade Policy on 30th January 2018 at the Indian Chamber Auditorium. Additional DGFT Mr. Muthuraj headed the session. Mr. Peter CA, Assistant General Manager, South Indian Bank and Mr. A Vijayakumar, Assistant Director, FIEO Kerala Chapter also spoke on the session. President Mr. Rajesh Agrawal delivered the keynote address and Secretary Mr. Tino John Cruz proposed the Vote of thanks. Board director Mr. Anwar Hashim also shared his views on the subject during the session.
